Hello, my name is Luke Dryden. I’m a 34-year-old Texas Ranger and recently learned my dad—the man I idolized and loved—adopted me. I can’t believe I’ve been lied to my whole life and now I’m leery to trust others. My sister died and left me to care for her two-year-old twins. Not believing her death was an accident, I hire a nanny and delve into my sister’s past to see if I can find answers.

How did you come up with your star characters? After all my years living on this earth, I have never heard of a female U S Marshall. Thank you for writing this book.
Hello!
Honestly, I already had the idea of an adult finding out his dad wasn't who he thought he was. I know a couple of people who kept this secret from their kids for a long time. The "dad" had been in their life since almost birth and there wasn't a good age to sit their kids down and tell them the truth. 5 years old? 10? Or maybe tell them when they're a teenager? And waiting until the child is adult can certainly be shocking.
Luke learning he'd be deceived his whole would be upsetting.
For my heroine, one of the editors had mentioned wanting to see more secret identity stories. And I thought, what a perfect character for my hero!
I love secret identity stories so Justice Undercover was fun to write.
Connie, I too love secret identity stories...and your debut is a good one! Very believable! And it’s fun to read your post from the POVs of the characters. Congratulations, my friend!
Connie! Great post. Kylie investigating his sister’s death—a death I believe may be connected to Hal.-and a nanny to twins! Love the cover of this book. Makes me want to burrow under a blanket (since something happened to my sun and warm temperatures lol) and read from first word to last!

Love this glimpse of the story behind the story! Congratulations, Connie! I love secret identity stories, and Texas Ranger stories. Cannot wait to read this!
This looks really intriguing.
Connie, I love the uniqueness behind your characters, especially a female US Marshal! And Justice Undercover was fabulous! A definite page turner! Congratulations on your debut!
Thank you, Sherida!
Sally, I love to curl up under blankets and read. I turn up the ac down and turn up the fan.
Thank you!
Laura Kestner, I've always loved secret identity stories. I remember several in the old historical romances.
And Texas Rangers just make good heroes.
Good afternoon, Heidi.
Thank you for stopping by.
What an interesting character interview, Connie. You hooked me when the words Texas Ranger were mentioned. Congratulations on your novel!
WOW, what a great introduction! I love the characters ❤️ Can’t wait to read it!
Natalya,
Thank you for stopping by and commenting!
Nice to meet you.
Kylie's and Luke's story will be a great one to read. An intriguing introduction to these two characters plus having two year old twins will add fun times but tense moments also, I'm sure. I love stories with twins--twins infants or twins adults are great in books. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity.
Stacy Simmons, somehow I missed your comment!
Hello! I'm so glad you like stories w/Texas Rangers. I do too!
Thanks.
Hello Marilyn!
Stories w/twins and babies do make for fun times, don't they? I've never had twins, but it's fun to imagine.
